Nostalgic 24/7 Christmas TV channel is launching in UK this week – a whopping 4 months before the big day

A DEDICATED Christmas TV channel is returning to Freeview this week, despite four months remaining until December 25. Airing non-stop from August to January, the TV channel offers a host of festive films for all the family. A 24/7 Christmas channel is launching on Freeview this week Credit: Getty Great! is bringing back its dedicated Christmas channel earlier than ever, showing hundreds of festive films on its 24/7 channel from this week. Launching on Wednesday, August 26, Great! Christmas will replace the Great! Romance channel until January next year. Sign up for the TV newsletter Thank you! The channel launches just after midnight on Wednesday morning, airing the 12 Pups of Christmas (2019), followed by Reunited at Christmas (2018) and Christmas with a Prince: Becoming Royal (2019). 186 festive films are set to air on Great! Christmas over the next few months, including 42 premieres making their debut on the channel. Great! Christmas became a fan-favourite TV channel last year, with 14.5million minutes watched by viewers between September and December. Those eager to indulge in the festive spirit will be able to access Great! Christmas on Freeview channel 52. On satellite, viewers can access the channel on number 322 and watch Great! Xmas + 1 on number 323. Sky customers can also enjoy Great! Xmas HD on Glass, with the channel available for Sky users on channel 319.
