Even though he's kept busy with appearances in movies and lending his voice to video games, Reedus has kept his TV work limited to animation and non-fiction travel series since stepping into the shoes of The Walking Dead's Daryl Dixon in 2010. But with the Dixon spinoff coming to an end and questions remaining about Reedus' future with AMC's zombie franchise, the actor has landed a key part in a buzzy streaming drama. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Reedus has been cast in the upcoming Apple TV spy thriller Disavowed opposite X-Men and Paradise star James Marsden. Details about who Reedus is portraying are being kept under wraps. However, the story centers on Marsden's CIA case officer at a moment of uncertainty in his life. In particular, Disavowed spotlights the legendary CIA case officer Brad Griffin (played by Marsden) as he is suddenly fired during the global hunt for an elusive assassin. These events have a personal component for Brad, since the assassin is responsible for killing his colleague. Even though he is viewed as a disgraced outcast in the intelligence community, Brad goes all in once a $15 million federal bounty is placed on the assassin’s life and decides to complete the assignment himself. Disavowed was officially announced this past May, hailing from creators Art Marcum and Matt Holloway.
