I make it a habit to watch Nordstrom closely for its biannual massive sales (like the Half Yearly Sale which regularly replenishes my linen closet). I found the Le Creusets, the percale bedding sets, the Flamingo Estate candles, the genuine leathers. While I don’t have anything personally against Spanx, Madewell, and 14 pages of handbags and beauty deals, I prefer a very seriously curated sale collection, especially when the clearance pages reach the hundreds. Take me to the editor-vetted bedding, the cashmere throws, the dishwasher-safe and still-artisanal dinnerware, the best wine glass deal (mine are invariably all broken), and maybe a few mostly useless, random, perfect things (this collection of Tonga baskets, for example).
