His body was recovered around 6 am on Thursday after several hours of rescue operations involving the police, fire department, National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) and State Disaster Response Force (SDRF).The incident took place on Wednesday near the Sector 81 Metro station. The incident triggered panic after the man, identified as Ravi, reportedly jumped into the drain.According to police, Ravi was a resident of Etah and was currently living in Harola in Gautam Buddh Nagar. Police said after receiving the information, the Sector 39 police and fire service teams reached the spot and launched a search operation. Ravi's wife, who was present at the spot, told police that the couple had an argument over his drinking. Following the dispute, Ravi jumped into the drain in anger.Fire service personnel entered the drain to search for him, while police continued the rescue operation. SDRF and NDRF teams were also called to the spot and joined the search operation. After several hours of rescue efforts, the teams recovered Ravi's body at around 6 am. Police sent the body for post-mortem examination and said further action was underway.Sector 39 police station in-charge DP Shukla provided information about the incident.- Ends
