There’s a lot of people crying in it.”The Venice audience sang along to Champagne Supernova. Fans, including one with a Manchester City flag, gathered at the Palazzo del Cinema in the hope of seeing the brothers. The pair laughed and joked before the start. A fan shouted: “Venice, are you mad for it?” Grinning, Liam replied: “Oh yeah.” The film covers Oasis’s 2025 comeback tour and the audience clapped every track. Most read in TV As the credits rolled and the ovation started, Liam mouthed to Noel: “Should we f***k off?” The film’s writer Stephen Knight told them to stay for autographs and selfies, gaining them another riotous reception. Disney+ will stream the film later this year and hope it makes the Oscars shortlist. Stephen said: “Very rarely do you get the chance to tell a story that is so emotional. “They’re working-class men, they’re not going to show emotion, not even going to shake hands. We were very fortunate that’s what happened. “From the very beginning we wanted to make this about reconciliation and redemption.” Last week The Sun revealed dates and venues for Oasis’s 2027 tour.
