Nobody Wants This Season 3 review: Noah and Joanne are endgame. Now what?

Joanne and Noah are together. So, the entire tiptoeing around the will-they-won't-they question is over. Season 3 of Nobody Wants This gives the beloved couple far too many opportunities to keep swooning over each other. They are together, and that's that. They are endgame. The anxiety of whether they will make it despite their religious and family differences? Gone. Forever. Which means the central conflict isn't quite as exciting or compelling this time around. However, that doesn't mean the season is short on entertainment. The season flows well, giving both Adam Brody (Noah) and Kristen Bell (Joanne) plenty to explore in their relationship. From how they like to welcome their mornings to when they want to stop dating and start thinking about marriage, and from how much they care about their families' whims and fancies to how far they are willing to bend for each other, there is still plenty for this much-loved couple to navigate.Because getting together is one thing. Figuring out how to build a life together? That's a whole different ball game. Season 3 also brings parallel love stories into the mix. This won't come as a spoiler to anyone who has been following the show because, let's be honest, Morgan (Justin Lupe) and Sasha (Timothy Simons) had chemistry right from the beginning. This season, the writers simply decide to give that attraction a little more room to breathe. We see them build a bond that is quite different from Noah and Joanne's - a more mature one, perhaps, because both have had their fair share of failed relationships. A still from Netflix series Nobody Wants This Season 3 And it's actually a delight to watch. For some, though, this might feel a little excessive. Morgan and Sasha were doing perfectly well as platonic friends, after all. But as they begin exploring the possibility of something more, the show doesn't exactly crash and burn. If anything, their story adds some extra spice, some extra pizazz, to the sweetness unfolding on the other side. A little contrast never hurt anyone, especially when one couple is busy making you believe in love all over again. Joanne's quest to become a Jew also feels far more convincing this season. The writers do a good job of establishing her arc - from an agnostic sex podcaster to a woman who has understood love, navigated her feelings and found a way to be with the man she loves on her own terms. She is now building a life with Noah, figuring out their shared goals and understanding what their future together could look like. Joanne finally seems comfortable and at ease with the life she is choosing with him.Noah, too, gets a brilliantly fleshed-out character arc this season. He isn't just a man hopelessly in love with Joanne; he is a man who can genuinely picture a life with her. Whether it's talking about their future children, opening up about his OCD or showing just how much he values her, Noah is more than willing to consider how far he can go to make her happy. He is arguably the biggest green flag of Season 3, and he takes your breath away in more scenes than one. Ultimately, Nobody Wants This works because it is easy and honest about people's feelings. It doesn't over-complicate love by throwing in unnecessary drama for the sake of entertainment. It believes in communication and shows us that a love story can remain alive and refreshing even when everything is going well. That, by the way, is no easy feat. For our desi Indian hearts, though, a twist is as necessary as tadka in our daal. And while Season 3 doesn't have any glaring problems, it does leave you wanting more. You might not be entirely satisfied with everything it has to offer - not because it is lacking in quality, but because it doesn't quite satiate your appetite. When you are served something this sweet, a little extra mirchi wouldn't hurt.Watch it if you love love, or if you simply want to spend more time with Noah and Joanne. They are the kind of people you wouldn't mind having in your life.Nobody Wants This is currently streaming on Netflix.- Ends
