A 21-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a hit-and-run accident in Vadodara that left one student dead and two others injured.The accused, identified as Harsh Meda, was arrested after police examined CCTV footage and other evidence related to the crash that took place around 1:15 am on July 13.According to police, Meda was driving a Hyundai i20 without a number plate when it allegedly rammed into a two-wheeler carrying three Maharaja Sayajirao University students on the Amitnagar-L&T Circle stretch of VIP Road.The impact left all three students injured, with one later succumbing to his injuries. The victims were staying in a hostel and pursuing first and third-semester courses at the university. Police said the accused fled the spot after the accident and reached Halol, where he was caught after his vehicle broke down.Investigators said Meda did not have a valid driving licence. They also found that the car had black film on its windows, which was removed by the accused after the accident.
