The series is celebrating its 40th anniversary, and it's riding pretty high on the fact that the Super Mario Galaxy Movie made over $1 billion USD at the box office this year. People still love Mario, including fans inside and outside the gaming sphere. Thankfully, while we wait for the next 3D Mario, Nintendo peppers in various releases in any given year to sate fans. Now, due to an official X announcement from Nintendo, we know that there are two more free games to download right now on the Switch family of systems. As of this week, you can download two free Mario games on both the original Switch and the Switch 2. Titled "Hello, Peach!" and "Hello, Luigi!", these two games continue on the My Mario line introduced in recent years, and are completely free on the eShop right now. Here's the full announcement from Nintendo: "Share a silly moment together with free games from the My Mario brand, designed for young children and their parents. 'Hello, Peach!' and 'Hello, Luigi!' are the newest additions to Nintendo Switch! Check out the entire collection on the Nintendo Store and Nintendo eShop." Previously, Nintendo released Hello, Mario! and Hello, Yoshi!, both of which are also available on mobile devices. In these little diversions, you can stretch Mario's face like the classic Mario 64 title screen and create items and enemiesMario can interact with. There are also small games like peekaboo, and Mario will take naps when he's tired to avoid "excessive screen time." Since these Hello titles don't require an internet connection, you can download them all and be on your way. Right now, most of the core Mario gang seems to be covered, except Toad, who certainly deserves his own Hello app sooner rather than later. Bowser is also perfect for the Hello format, and is technically part of the My Mario line in figure form along with Toad. Nintendo has described the My Mario line as a "little-kid-friendly" brand, and it includes more than just apps. The main attraction is the My Mario product line, which includes multiple toddler and baby toys, as well as the coveted My Mario wood block set. This set is massive and includes wood blocks of various bits and bobs from classic Mario levels, plus multiple figures that function as amiibo: Mario, Luigi, Peach, and Yoshi. It's a collector's item of sorts because it's only available at physical locations (like San Francisco, Tokyo, or New York City), or through the high-priced secondary market. In classic Nintendo fashion, people are clamoring for these exclusive products, so if you're ever in a city with a Nintendo Store, check it out. If you're a Mario fan, you may find something to like in the My Mario line, even as an adult. Movie(s) Super Mario Bros., The Super Mario Bros.
