Nina’s heartbreaking goodbye to Seb revealed in emotional new Coronation Street spoiler video

During her tenure, she has been at the centre of some major storylines, including her much-loved relationship with Asha Alahan (Tanisha Gorey). However, it was the storyline that saw her and boyfriend Seb Franklin targeted in a hate crime that was perhaps her most powerful story on the ITV soap. In 2021, Nina and Seb were attacked by a group of their peers, including Corey Brent and Kelly Neelan, because of their alternative appearance. Coronation Street worked with the Sophie Lancaster Foundation on the powerful story, which was inspired by the real-life murder of 20-year-old goth Sophie Lancaster. While Nina survived the horrific attack, Seb tragically died of his injuries. In the spoiler clip, Nina is approached by Seb’s mum, Abi Webster (Sally Carman), who apologises for not being able to make Nina’s send-off in the Rovers. In the emotional scene, Nina apologises to Abi for surviving the attack instead of Seb – a sentiment that Abi is quick to shut down.
