Nigel Farage says outcome of investigation into Channel 4 donations sting will be announced 'very soon' and suggests key Reform UK aides will be cleared

The party has denied all wrongdoing and said it will fully co-operate with the investigation.Mr Farage suggested on Thursday that he had already seen the internal report and knew its conclusions, adding that its release was ‘imminent’.Asked about the status of the investigation by a Channel 4 journalist on Thursday, Mr Farage said: ‘It's been done, and it'll be out in public very, very soon. Pictured: Undercover filming ‘And I think some of your co-conspirators might find themselves with one or two legal challenges.’A report broadcast by Channel 4 News claimed Reform took funding from a US firm for three polls it commissioned earlier this year, costing £32,500.The purported donors were in fact undercover reporters from Verbatim posing as an American financier and his UK-based son.The provenance of the polls was not revealed when they were published in national newspapers, and the costs were not declared by Reform as donations in kind.Senior officials including Mr Farage are also said to have discussed a £500,000 donation from the fake businessman through his son.Foreign political donations are banned in the UK. The donation was never made.Mr Jukes has denied any wrongdoing and said he was the target of ‘entrapment’ while Mr Orr also denies wrongdoing and said he would cooperate with the party’s internal investigation ‘fully’. Reform said it was 'the target of a hoax' and denied any wrongdoing. The Met's Special Enquiry Team launched an investigation in February 2025 following a referral from the Electoral Commission relating to donations made to Reform ahead of the 2024 general election, as part of which two people were interviewed under caution. No arrests have been made and no-one has been interviewed over the latest allegations. All allegations under investigation relate to potential offences under the Political Parties, Elections and Referendums Act 2000.
