Nicola is left fearing she could lose everything when she discovers that Harry’s Barn could be forced to close unless the family can find a whopping £25,000 by Friday. With time rapidly running out, the Mitchells desperately need to bring in more customers and find a way of raising the cash. Gemma comes up with an idea to boost business by offering Harry’s Barn as the venue for Nugget Gulati’s upcoming birthday party. Preparations soon get underway for the celebrations, and Nugget is delighted when he arrives to discover that his loved ones have thrown him a surprise party. And the party brings drama of its own thanks to the ongoing tension between Suki Panesar and her daughter Ash. Suki has become increasingly suspicious of Ash following her return to Walford and admits to Eve that she has contacted Gigi behind her daughter’s back. Suki discovers that Gigi and Ash have split up, but Eve warns her wife against pushing for more answers. Suki refuses to let the subject drop, however, and her questioning at Nugget’s party soon makes Ash realise that her mum has been snooping into her private life. While the Panesars deal with their family drama, things go from bad to worse for Nicola. She is devastated when bailiffs arrive at Harry’s Barn on Wednesday, with the family still owing a substantial amount of money. Ned has left a lot of fans suspicious (Picture: BBC) Facing the prospect of losing the venue, the Mitchells scramble to come up with ideas to raise the remaining cash and eventually launch a fundraiser. Harry, meanwhile, joins Ned as he visits an old business partner, who Ned pressures in an attempt to get what he wants. Back in Walford, the fundraiser doesn’t exactly go according to plan. Residents begin questioning the conflicting causes being supported, creating another headache for Nicola as she desperately tries to salvage the event. She manages to get things back on track, but despite her best efforts, the family are still significantly short of their £25,000 goal. There is briefly renewed hope when Ryder arrives with a wave of new customers, but the Mitchells still face an uncertain future. It should be the answer to all of Nicola’s problems, but she is reluctant to accept Ned’s help when the pair are alone. The following day, Nicola orders Harry to keep Ned’s offer a secret as the family remain disappointed following the failed fundraiser. But Ned isn’t giving up and once again offers Nicola the money she desperately needs.
