Nicholas Hoult quits Harry Potter TV series as he’s replaced by Game of Throne star Kit Harington

NICHOLAS Hoult has quit the Harry Potter TV series, and his replacement has already been revealed. The Skins actor, 36, will no longer play Gilderoy Lockhart, and instead the role will be taken on by Game of Thrones star Kit Harington, 39. However the actor, who shot to fame in the early noughties in About A Boy, has pulled out due to a conflict with the show’s filming schedule, according to Deadline. The John Snow actor recently voiced the character for Audible’s star-studded audiobook series of the Harry Potter books. Read more on Harry Potter Previously speaking about voicing the role, made famous by Kenneth Branagh in the films, the actor told Variety: “It was a really simple yes, because I love the character,. “As far as cameos in a series go, you don’t get much more entertaining and fun to do as an actor than Gilderoy Lockhart.
