Emphasising a holistic approach to well-being, Katrina shared that her perspective on personal appearance has evolved from adhering to rigid industry beauty norms to focusing on health from within. In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter India, the actor reflected on how her perception of looking her best has transformed since the start of her career. "When I started out early through my modelling and acting career, there were a lot of stereotypes about what the beauty standards were," Kaif said. "Now for me, looking my best is really about feeling my best, and that comes from taking care of myself as a whole."Elaborating on her daily wellness rituals, Kaif highlighted that managing inflammation, maintaining a balanced diet, staying active, and practising meditation play a direct role in her skin's health. She also stressed the importance of starting her day with an hour free from screen time and getting natural light first thing in the morning. "It all makes a huge difference to how I feel, and ultimately how my skin behaves. I think when you feel healthy, that confidence naturally reflects on the outside," she noted.Addressing how becoming a mother altered her approach to skin and body care, Kaif revealed that her skin became significantly more sensitive following her pregnancy, necessitating a recalibration of her product choices. "Post-pregnancy, my skin became even more sensitive, so it was a really tricky time because I had to understand what products were working for me," she explained, sharing that she now favours formulations that are "soothing, calming and restorative."Katrina's emphasis on self-care coincides with heightened social media expectations around women post-pregnancy. The issue recently drew reaction from Katrina's former co-actors Hrithik Roshan and Ali Zafar, highlighting the need to value women beyond superficial aesthetic standards.Meanwhile, Katrina, on the other hand, has been away from the movies and working to expand her successful makeup brand Kay Beauty. She was last seen in Merry Christmas alongside Vijay Sethupathi, which released in 2024.- EndsPublished By: Anurag BohraPublished On: Sep 18, 2026 21:58 IST
