New iPad mini details revealed in latest leak

We’ve heard a lot about what to expect from Apple’s next-generation iPad mini, including an OLED display and a more water-resistant design. A new leak today says the upcoming iPad mini will also pack some serious power: the new A20 Pro chip. MacRumors today discovered references to the new iPad mini inside Apple’s code, including an alleged product icon of the device. The icon suggests the new iPad mini will have the same overall design as the current model. The camera, however, has been moved from the top bezel to the landscape side, just like Apple’s other iPad models. There’s also a small speaker cutout at the top of the display, similar to the iPhone. The code also says the new iPad mini will be powered by the A20 Pro chip inside. This is the same chip as the iPhone 18 Pro models, which launched last week. The current iPad mini, released in October 2024, runs on Apple’s A17 Pro chip. The new iPad mini is expected to be released by the end of October, according to Mark Gurman.
