Crispy, chewy, a little imperfect -- exactly how we like it. Salads will be on the menu too – including a caprese. “And a lot of other dough stuff we can come up with,” Luther adds. “Man, Huntsville has been so good to us, and we just hope we can return the love with this next place.”Razzo Pizzeria. Prior to Razzo, the space was home to the Bakingtist, a defunct bakery-turned-baking-school that was owned and operator by the same people that did Razzo. Kegs of beer at Below the Radar. (Matt Wake/mwake@al.com)Before that, it was part of Below the Radar Brewhouse, the since-departed craft-beer-centric venture which had a nine year or so run from 2012 to late 2021. Below the Radar’s former space was later divided into two. Seafood spot Catch 25 was in the western half before closing down earlier this year. Other restaurants to close downtown in 2026 include Phat Sammy’s, an Asian fusion restaurant/Tiki Bar on Jefferson Street and La Cocina Esquina, elevated Mexican food/drink on Holmes Avenue. Namu Modern Korean Cuisine has since opened in the former Cocina Esquina space. Last week, Host by Homegrown, a new events space, launched in the former Washington Street downtown digs of The Bottle, Chophouse and Bubba’s. Meanwhile, something called Gulf Catch Seafood House is planned for the ex-Humphrey’s Bar & Grill confines, next door on Washington, according to temporary signage there.
