NEW Coronation Street couple Olivia Frances Brown and boyfriend Jonathan Howard appeared to have a tense exchange during the National Television Awards afterparty last week. The Sun revealed in August that Jonathan, who plays bad boy Carl Webster, and Olivia Frances-Brown, who plays evil Jodie Ramsay on the cobbles, had officially become an item after meeting on the soap. Olivia was seen gesturing with her hands, but Jonathan appeared to disagree with a point his girlfriend was making. An onlooker said: “They appeared to be having a pretty heated conversation. Olivia was making a lot of hand gestures and looked frustrated, and Jonathan kept shaking his head and looking away. “After a while, he got up and walked off somewhere. But, eagle-eyed followers of stunning actress Olivia spotted that her BBC star ex-fiancé James Nelson-Joyce has subtly given her new romance his stamp of approval. While James appears content that Olivia has moved on, hinting with the double-tap, he doesn’t actually follow her new man on social media. Olivia and TV hunk James split up back in March after they unfollowed each other on Instagram. The City Is Ours star James and soap actress Olivia also scrubbed all traces of each other from their social media accounts – including their engagement announcement. A source said at the time: “It’s finished. They were a rock-solid showbiz couple, and their fans will be absolutely shocked and devastated.” The duo got engaged last August and were widely tipped to be the UK’s next golden couple. Meanwhile, Jonathan was previously married to actress wife Elodie Yung.
