The series follows Marcelo, an amnesiac on the brink of death who is given a new lease on life by an experienced MMA coach. The series begins with a high-octane chase sequence in which Marcelo is shot and left for dead, only to be discovered by Toni, the local MMA coach who is beloved by the community. At first, Toni wants nothing to do with Marcelo and his troubled past, but in time he reluctantly offers him a shot at redemption. The series features professionally choreographed fight sequences in the octagon, seen in professional fighting leagues such as the UFC. It contains coach-athlete dynamics that are reminiscent of classic boxing movies like Rocky and Creed and gritty hand-to-hand battles as seen in popular series like Kingdom. The core story exists between Marcelo and Toni, as the latter grapples between his morals and principles and the danger of inviting the former into his circle before they become a formidable force that takes the MMA world by storm.
