Netflix Orders Dark Comedy ‘All the Rage’ From ‘Dead to Me’ Duo Liz Feldman, Kelly Hutchinson

Liz Feldman has extended her overall deal with Netflix, with the streamer greenlighting the dark comedy “All the Rage” with Feldman onboard as co-creator. “All the Rage” hails from Feldman and Kelly Hutchinson, who previously worked with Feldman on the Netflix shows “Dead to Me” and “No Good Deed.” Both are also executive producers. Will Ferrell and Jessica Elbaum executive produce via Gloria Sanchez Productions, with Christie Smith of Rise Management also executive producing. All three were executive producers on “Dead to Me” and “No Good Deed.” The logline for “All the Rage” states that it centers on Emma and Eli, “old friends who reconnect after a long estrangement and find new purpose in taking down the man who tore them apart.” Popular on Variety “We’re thrilled to tell this completely made up story about revenge inspired by our very real friendship of 30 years,” Feldman and Hutchinson said in a joint statement. “Thank you to Netflix for being the best partners in the biz and, more importantly, for paying us to finally work through 30 years of neurosis and resentment.” “Dead to Me” aired for three seasons on Netflix and starred Christina Applegate and Linda Cardellini as two women who are part of the same grief support group. The show proved to be a critical hit for the streamer, earning six Emmy nominations over its run. That includes nominations for both Cardellini and Applegate as well as one for outstanding comedy series. “No Good Deed” followed in 2024. That series was an ensemble whose cast included Lisa Kudrow, Ray Romano, Cardellini, Luke Wilson, O-T Fagbenle, Abbi Jacobson, Denis Leary, Poppy Liu, and Teyonah Parris. “We’re excited to continue our partnership with Liz and bring more of her distinct, brilliant vision to audiences worldwide,” said Tracey Pakosta, Netflix vice president of comedy series. “Her decades-long friendship with Kelly fuels their unique and sharp creative chemistry, which they showcased during their collaboration on ‘Dead to Me.’ We’re thrilled to have them join forces again for All the Rage, which is sure to blend dark comedy and emotional depth like only Liz and Kelly can.” Feldman is repped by CAA, Rise Management, and Yorn Levine Barnes.
