As flash floods ripped through parts of Nepal, one house withstood the worst of the devastation around it. At least three people were seen on its balcony, watching as the devastation unfolded barely metres away.The footage captured the sheer force of the floodwaters. Sections of neighbouring homes were ripped apart, while vehicles, walls and other debris were carried along by the current. The video, however, is only one small moment in a disaster that has devastated large parts of Nepal.Flash floods that swept through the Bhotekoshi and Trishuli river systems on August 26 have destroyed homes, roads, bridges and other infrastructure across northern and central Nepal. The disaster is believed to have been triggered by a collapse or avalanche of ice and rock near the Nepal-Tibet border.
