Actor Govinda's wife Ssunita Ahuja said she is trying to find a reliable way to donate to Nepal flood victims. She also urged the film industry to contribute as rescue efforts continue amid heavy losses.Ssunita Ahuja reacts to Nepal flash floods.The devastating floods in Nepal have deeply affected Govinda's wife Ssunita Ahuja, who is looking to contribute to relief efforts in the country but is currently trying to find a reliable channel through which she can ensure her donation reaches those in need. Although born in India, Ssunita shares a close connection with Nepal as her mother and grandmother are from Kathmandu.Speaking about the crisis, she told the Bombay Times, “I am trying to connect with someone who can ensure that my donation reaches the right people. I would like to donate as much as I can because they are very close to me and Nepal is my matrabhoomi,” she said.Adding, “It is heartbreaking to see such devastating floods hit Nepal. I wasn’t born there, but my mother and grandmother are from Kathmandu. I visit Nepal every year with my daughter for New Year. On January 1, we make it a point to visit the Pashupatinath temple and begin the year with His blessings.”Ssunita also appealed to others from the film industry to step forward and support relief efforts in Nepal. “I request everyone in the industry to come forward and contribute towards helping the people of Nepal,” she added. Meanwhile, the death toll in Nepal’s floods rose to 1,003, with nearly 4,000 people still missing.
