The company said its satellite communication service could help rescue teams coordinate searches, medical teams treat the injured and families stay in contact with people still missing, particularly in areas where roads, bridges and mobile networks have been damaged. Starlink said its kits can provide high-speed, low-latency internet within minutes when connected to a power source and given a clear view of the sky. The company said it was ready to begin deployment as soon as it receives permission from the Nepalese authorities.
