Negros town shuts trails to protect Mt. Talinis
DUMAGUETE CITY—The municipal government of Valencia in Negros Oriental province has ordered the temporary closure of trails leading to Mt. Talinis starting on Nov. 1, to give the mountain’s ecosystem time to recover from environmental damage caused by increasing human activities. The measure, contained in Executive Order No. 45 signed by Mayor Edgar Teves Jr.
