Acting on the tip-off, police reached the crematorium, took custody of the body and sent it for postmortem examination. Authorities have started further investigation into the case.Police identified the victim as Anshika, a 21-year-old NEET student who lived with her family in the Lal Bagh area of Delhi. Family members have remained silent over the incident and mourning has gripped the household. Officials said the student had appeared for the NEET examination in 2024, 2025 and 2026.Police suspect it to be a case of suicide.
