NEET PG 2026: CGHS clarifies wellness centres won't shut from August 27-31

CGHS has debunked an unauthorised notice claiming its wellness centres would remain closed from August 27 to 31 due to NEET PG 2026 duty, clarifying that centres will function as per schedule.CGHS debunks fake notice claiming wellness centres will shut from August 27-31 for NEET PG 2026 (representative image)The Central Government Health Scheme (CGHS) on Saturday clarified that a notice claiming its wellness centres would remain closed from August 27 to August 31 due to the deployment of medical officers for NEET-PG examination duty is false and unauthorised.In a circular, the Directorate of CGHS said the notice, which is being circulated using the CGHS name and logo, was neither issued nor authorised by the department. It said the contents of the notice are false.The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) will conduct NEET PG 2026 on August 30, 2026.CGHS WELLNESS CENTRES TO FUNCTION AS SCHEDULEDThe directorate clarified that CGHS Wellness Centres will continue to function during the period as per their prescribed working schedule. It added that any deployment of CGHS personnel for official duties would be managed through appropriate administrative arrangements to ensure there is no disruption of services to beneficiaries.The additional directors of CGHS have been asked to ensure that the clarification is communicated to all wellness centres and beneficiaries under their jurisdiction. The additional directors have also been directed to make necessary staffing and duty arrangements to ensure continuity of services. They were further instructed to ensure that the unauthorised notice is neither displayed nor circulated by any CGHS office or official.PUBLIC ADVISED TO VERIFY INFORMATIONThe CGHS has advised beneficiaries and members of the public to disregard the unauthorised notice and verify information related to CGHS only through its official website, the myCGHS 2.0 application, or the concerned CGHS authorities.The directorate also said the unauthorised use of the CGHS name and logo is being viewed seriously.
