The National Council for Women (NCW) has launched a new phase of its agricultural waste recycling project to produce compost, which is organic fertilizer, in Giza Governorate. The initiative aims to support the economic empowerment of rural women and convert agricultural waste into high-value products, thereby enhancing their participation in the green economy. Project experts explained that compost production contributes to improving soil quality and agricultural products, reducing reliance on chemical fertilizers and mitigating the negative environmental impacts resulting from the unsafe disposal of agricultural waste.
