NBI chief to Romualdez: It’s better for you to surrender

Ferdinand Martin Romualdez to surrender, National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) Director Melvin Matibag said on Monday, noting that the bureau will locate him as soon as they receive his warrant of arrest. Matibag said this after the Office of the Ombudsman filed plunder raps against Romualdez, as well as former Ako Bicol party-list Rep. Elizaldy Co., and several other co-accused before the Sandiganbayan, regarding the alleged flood control anomalies. Plunder is a nonbailable offense. Article continues after this advertisement “It’s better na mag-surrender kaysa magkaroon pa ng incident ng arrest,” Matibag said in an ambush interview on Monday afternoon.
