National Preschool Enrollment Surged Last Year; Oklahoma’s Continued to Fall

Oklahoma ranks fifth nationally in preschool access for 4-year-olds, but enrollment has dropped from 76% to 65% since 2019. Researchers and local advocates say many parents simply don't know free pre-K is available, and school districts in the Tulsa area are paying parent advocates to knock on doors to spread the word.
