Nathan Aspinall reveals people blame him for Luke Littler’s rise after paying for darts sensation’s Ubers to practice

He revealed at an exhibition: “Before he made the final the first time three years ago, going into that tournament he was coming into my house practising. I was paying for his Ubers! “A lot of people do blame me. He used to practice with me three years ago. “What you think you see on TV is good. Holy s***, you should see him in my shed. It is unbelievable. Can he get any better? If he practices, yeah, which is frightening.” Since then, the Warrington sensation has taken over the sport, becoming a 14-time major winner as a teenager and lifting all SIX televised PDC majors this season. Littler is now chasing a clean sweep of all 11 PDC Premier titles in 2026 after becoming the first player in history to break the £3m mark on the Order of Merit. Aspinall admits Littler’s rise has been incredible to watch but quipped that his success has also made life harder financially. There are a lot of kids coming to these [exhibitions]. “So, I owe a lot of thanks to Luke, but I wish he would f*** off. He is the reason I have to do exhibitions a week before my wedding because he keeps taking all the f****** money!” Comment now
