But while the biggest stars of K-pop, Latin, country and more packed stadiums, comedians were road warrioring their way to sold-out theaters and arenas. Here, we’re looking at the five biggest comedy tours of August 2026. Last year, Billboard launched its comedy hub with rundowns of the biggest touring comedians of the midyear Boxscore period and of the months that followed. Sebastian Maniscalco, Matt Rife and John Mulaney topped some of those lists, but August sees a return to the top for comedy’s most dominant act of the last several years. After an interruption in July from Dude Perfect, Nate Bargatze returns to the top for a sixth time in 2026. According to figures reported to Billboard Boxscore, his seven shows in August grossed $6.5 million and sold 87,000 tickets. He played arenas in North America, topping out during a double-header at Toronto’s Scotiabank Arena ($1.9 million; 28,800 tickets). One-night stands at Grand Rapids’ Van Andel Arena and Detroit’s Little Caesars Arena also surpassed $1 million. Matt Rife and Max Amini follow in close succession, with $6.2 million and $5.9 million, respectively. By comparison, Bargatze last reigned in June, nearly doubling Rife’s runner-up gross, $9.9 million to $5.4 million.
