Nani's The Paradise may be postponed to October. What we know so far

Reports are once again raising questions over whether Nani’s The Paradise will arrive in theatres on September 24 as announced. The film is facing a possible postponement, with October 1 reportedly emerging as an alternative date in trade circles.According to Gulte, the main reason behind the postponement buzz is the amount of post-production work still pending on The Paradise. The film reportedly has crucial VFX and technical work left, particularly its CG-heavy climax. Producer Sudhakar Cherukuri is said to be spending around Rs 2 crore on the climax CG alone, with the work reportedly taking longer than expected. With the release deadline approaching, the team is now faced with the question of whether the remaining work can be completed without affecting the final output. However, the makers have not officially announced any change and September 24 continues to be the announced release date. The release-date speculation has also become interesting because of what is happening around October 1 and 2. Gulte reports that Naga Vamsi's Aadarsha Kutumbham House No. 47 is set to release on October 2. The film was reportedly initially planned for a week after The Paradise, giving Nani's film some breathing room at the box office. If The Paradise moves to October 1, however, the two films would end up releasing just a day apart, potentially creating a clash in the Telugu states. There is reportedly another layer to the situation. Reportedly, Naga Vamsi holds a 25 per cent stake in The Paradise's Nizam rights. The report claims that Aadarsha Kutumbham House No. 47 was earlier moved to October 9 to give The Paradise a two-week run. A change in Nani's film's release date could therefore alter the release strategy for both films. An October 1 release would also put Aadarsha Kutumbham House No. 47 in the vicinity of other major releases, including Vijay Deverakonda's Ranabaali and Jailer 2, which are set to release in the second week of October. The reports suggest that Nani is likely to meet the team and assess the production status before a final call is taken on the release. The situation comes after The Paradise has already gone through multiple release-date changes. The film was earlier scheduled for March 26 before being moved to August 21 and subsequently locked for September 24.Another postponement would mark the third change in its release schedule and could further affect the plans of distributors and exhibitors who have been preparing for the September release. For now, the key word remains may. There has been no official announcement postponing The Paradise, and September 24 remains the date announced by the makers. The next few days could determine whether Nani's much-awaited film finally sticks to its September 24 date or moves once again.- EndsPublished By: T Naga Maruthi AcharyaPublished On: Sep 7, 2026 12:32 IST
