Nagpur man lured to crematorium for 'compromise', murdered by rival

Another companion, Aman Kale, was also present during the incident.According to the police, the attack took place at the Manewada crematorium, where the accused had allegedly called Pawan under the guise of resolving an old dispute. Investigators said the assailants were already waiting at the spot and launched a brutal attack using sharp-edged weapons and stones.Police said the motive behind the murder appears to be an old rivalry. The main accused, identified as Kaka, had reportedly been involved in a dispute with Pawan in April this year. The altercation had led to growing enmity between the two sides. Investigators said the accused recently contacted Pawan through social media and convinced him to come to the crematorium for what was presented as a peace settlement.On Saturday evening, Pawan arrived at the Manewada crematorium along with Aman Kale and Ajay Solanki. Soon after they reached the spot, the attackers allegedly ambushed the trio.HE DIED AT THE SCENE Pawan suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene. Ajay Solanki was critically injured in the assault but managed to escape and alert others. He was later admitted to hospital, where he remains under treatment.Following the incident, the Nagpur Police Commissioner and other senior police officials reached the crime scene to supervise the investigation and inspect the area.Police have registered a murder case against the accused and launched a search operation to trace and arrest those involved.
