A spokesperson for Costa Coffee told The Sun said: “We can confirm that our Costa Coffee store on 23A&B High Street, Leighton Buzzard, which is owned and operated by one of our franchise partners, will close for trade on September 24. “All our talented team members will be relocated to surrounding stores.” To get their caffeine fix, Costa customers will now need to head to the town’s other branch found on the Grovebury Road Retail Park. Costa Coffee currently operates over 2,700 cafes in the UK and Ireland, with more than 14,200 Costa Express vending spots also found across the countries. The UK’s largest coffeehouse chain, its history traces back over 50 years to 1971, with the first roastery set up on Newport Street in London. Instead, Costa has carved its menu around the return of its beloved Maple Hazel Latte, serving up coffees, matcha, chocolate and iced drinks inspired by the autumnal flavour. For savoury fans, two oozing cheese toasties also form part of the new menu, as well as five new sugary snacks for those with a sweet tooth. Comment now
