My Hero Academia fans were, naturally, devastated when the original manga run ended in 2024, and even more anguished when its legendary anime adaptation concluded two years later, in early 2026. Since then, they've had to make do with the not-so-surprisingly great spin-offs that have done an admirable job of filling the iconic series' admittedly rather large shoes. However, as great as the spin-off shows and stories are, they're not enough for some, with many missing the familiar faces of My Hero Academia's initial run. Fortunately, alongside numerous other My Hero Academia projects releasing soon, a brand-new MHA release is set to launch this December. It brings with it all the very best heroes and villains from across the series' greatest arcs into one massive project that is sure to capture the minds of dedicated fans and perhaps even endear newcomers to its hope-filled universe and delightful cast of colorful and, might one add, quirky characters. Indeed, it is also set to finally scratch an itch that MHA fans across the world have likely been longing to have fulfilled. Custom Image by Vanessa Piña Alongside the release of a brand-new My Hero Academia video game, fans in the West are being treated to an all-new release that's bursting at the seams with content. Specifically, those in North America will finally get to access cards from the official My Hero Academia set of the Union Arena TCG. For those not in the know, Union Arena is a crossover trading card game from Bandai Namco that brings together characters from across some of the greatest manga and anime. It has proven to be wildly successful in Japan, with everything from Hunter x Hunter to Jujutsu Kaisen and My Hero Academia represented. However, while a few of the game's core sets have been brought over to the West, including the aforementioned HxH and Jujutsu Kaisen, My Hero Academia's over 200 cards have been made entirely exclusive to Japan. While the incredible and ever-expanding UniVersus TCG has had MHA sets in the West, those fond of Union Arena's unique approach to the format won't have been able to experience its incredible My Hero Academia cards. That is, of course, until now, as all of the My Hero Academia Union Arena cards are being officially translated and released in the West as one big release. Previously, these cards were split between two volumes, with each one focusing on a handful of series from the anime. However, when released in the West, these two volumes will be combined into a singular release, meaning that fans will get access to every single card at once, with heroes and villains from seasons 1 to 6 being represented. Fans can purchase booster packs for $4.99, with each one containing 12 cards, and any of the other assorted products tied to the set. The My Hero Academia Union Arena TCG cards will be released in the West on December 11, 2026. There isn't long to wait until fans can finally start incorporating the series' greatest characters into their respective decks, or utilize them in battles against other legendary anime heroes and villains. At the very least, this new My Hero Academia product provides yet another meaningful way to engage with one of the very best shōnen anime.
