My best film yet: Emraan Hashmi celebrates Awarapan 2's historic box office run

Emraan Hashmi wrote an emotional note about Awarapan 2, calling the film his “best film yet” and crediting producer Vishesh Bhatt’s vision and conviction for bringing the sequel to life.In a post on Instagram, Emraan, who plays the role of Shivam Pandit in the gangster drama, reflected on what makes certain films especially meaningful to an actor. “There are films you work on, and then there are films you are genuinely proud to be a part of. Awarapan 2 belongs to the latter (sic),” he wrote.Describing the sequel as an emotionally charged action musical mounted on a grand visual scale, Emraan highlighted its music and urged audiences to experience the film in theatres.A major part of his note was dedicated to Vishesh Bhatt, whom Emraan credited with shaping the world of Awarapan 2. “At the heart of it all is Vishesh, the creator of the world of Awarapan. His vision and unwavering conviction shaped everything and everyone. I’m so glad we took the leap together and made this journey (sic),” he wrote. The 47-year-old actor also thanked the film’s cast, musicians and creative team, describing the experience of working on the project as particularly special.But his biggest statement came towards the end of the note, when he declared, “This is my best film yet.”Directed by Nitin Kakkar and produced by Vishesh Films, Awarapan 2 follows Shivam Pandit, who is approached by an Interpol officer for help in a mission to rescue abducted children. The film explores child trafficking, revenge and redemption. Disha Patani stars as Zara, while Shabana Azmi plays gangster queen Nafisa.
