Muscat Governorate reviews electronic document and records management system

Muscat: Muscat Governorate on Monday, in cooperation with the National Records and Archives Authority, conducted a workshop to display the ninth and tenth enhancements to the Wosool electronic document and records management system. It included features designed to streamline procedures and improve the efficiency of using the system. The workshop forms part of the ongoing development of the Wosool system and benefitting from feedback provided by users in entities that have begun using it. This contributes to enhancing the user experience and improving the efficiency of managing documents and records electronically.The workshop highlighted the key new enhancements, including improvements to the electronic signature mechanism by simplifying the steps involved and enabling users to customise numerous default settings, such as job role, language, display name, font type and signature image.It introduced a direct preview feature before the signature is approved.The enhancements comprised improvements to the text editor, such as the ability to convert numerals between Arabic and English formats, insert the Omani Rial symbol, and control text size and colour.Additionally, features for creating, editing and formatting tables have been enhanced, and the option to search for fonts.The follow-up inbox has also been enhanced by adding search, filtering and sorting options, making it easier to access transactions more quickly and accurately. Users can search by user, department or subject, filter results according to various standards, and sort them by creation or modification date.These enhancements simplify digital procedures and advance the efficiency of handling electronic documents and records. Thereby supporting the quality of institutional performance and expediting the accomplishment of transactions.Muscat Governorate continues its efforts to reinforce digital transformation and develop its institutional work system through adopting technological solutions, strengthening integration with government entities, and exchanging expertise and experiences.These efforts contribute to creating a more efficient and flexible working environment while supporting the objectives of Oman Vision 2040.
