Murder probe as man found dead in caravan in tiny rural village leaving locals ‘shocked & frightened’

COPS have launched a murder probe after a man was found dead inside a caravan in a tiny rural village. The tight-knit community has been left “shocked” and “frightened” by the death in the quaint Suffolk countryside. The incident has left residents in the secluded village stunned, with one describing it as “frightening”. Kevan McCormack told the East Anglian Daily Times: “It’s a worry. You don’t expect that in a place like this. It’s just a surprise more than anything else.” Michael Allum said: “When I heard the news, I thought: ‘We can’t have had a murder in our village.'” Another neighbour, who did not want to be named, said: “It’s awful, you don’t expect that to happen in a tiny village, it’s frightening and a shock.” Another resident said it was “sad to hear” and they were “shocked” that it had happened in “peaceful Bromeswell”. Pictures from the scene show police tape surrounding the caravan, while washing can still be seen hanging on a nearby line. A Suffolk Police spokesperson said: “This is being treated as an isolated incident, and the two men are understood to have been known to each other. “A Home Office post-mortem is scheduled to take place in due course.” The investigation remains at an early stage.
