Murder probe after ‘harmless & animal-loving’ man, 56, found dead with multiple injuries as 4 arrested

MOVING tributes have been paid to a “harmless” animal lover who was found dead with multiple injuries in a suspected attack. Cops launched a murder probe which has seen four men arrested after Ian Davis, 56, was discovered at a property in Liskeard, Cornwall, on Sunday. His heartbroken family said he was a devoted animal lover who would be “missed and loved”. Emergency services scrambled to the scene but the 56-year-old was pronounced dead at around 9.30pm on Sunday. Sign up for The Sun newsletter Thank you! In a moving tribute, Davis’ family described him as a harmless man who loved animals, “especially dogs“. They said: “He was harmless and he loved his animals, especially dogs, he didn’t deserve what happened to him. “He will be missed and loved.” Four men have been arrested on suspicion of murder in connection with Davis’ death. Three of the suspects are from Liskeard, Cornwall, and are aged in their 30s, 40s and 50s, cops say. The fourth suspect is a man in his 20s from Plymouth. He said: “We recognise the impact this incident has had on the local community and would like to thank residents for their continued support and patience while enquiries are carried out.” Cops are appealing for anyone with information about Davis’ death to come forward.
