He escaped near the general post office in Etawah when the bus slowed down, jumping out through a window and fleeing towards the railway station, police said.Nadeem was arrested in connection with a violent incident reported around eight days ago in the state’s Auraiya district. According to the case details, he and others allegedly entered a shop and assaulted people, attacked a person with the intention of killing and set two motorcycles parked outside on fire.Police arrested Nadeem soon after the incident. He also faces two other serious criminal cases. The accused had been arrested by Auraiya police and was being brought to the district jail in Etawah after the court granted remand,” said Avnish Kumar Singh, a senior cop from the district.He also said that efforts were underway to locate him, including through CCTV footage. After the escape, Civil Lines police in Etawah examined CCTV footage from shops near the railway station and cameras installed at the Railway Protection Force (RPF) post. The footage reportedly showed the accused fleeing towards the railway station.Police have formed three teams to trace and apprehend him. The Auraiya Kotwali police have also been informed about the escape, and further legal action is underway.- Ends
