Muna Tap Avalon Emerson, Romy for Dancing on the Wall Deluxe

The new edition includes “Dancing on the Wall (Romy in a Lesbian Trance Remix)”Thankfully safe and sound after an October tour bus fire, Muna are bouncing back with a deluxe edition of their May album Dancing on the Wall. The new extended cut features reworks from Avalon Emerson, Arlo Parks, and Porches, plus a “Dancing On The Wall (Romy in a Lesbian Trance Remix).” You’ll have to wait to hear that last one, but you can check out “Dancing on the Wall (Avalon Emerson Sweet Thing Remix)” now.“We really revere Avalon as a DJ and we were so excited that she was down to do something for this song,” Muna shared in press materials. Emerson added: “Sometimes the remix fairy visits at just the right time, bearing gifts. When I heard ‘Dancing On The Wall,’ I thought it was really catchy, had a lot of color to paint with, and the pace and energy were in the realm where I could make something for the dance floor.” The full deluxe arrives on November 13 via Dead Oceans.Read Emma Carmichael’s 2022 profile The Radical Joy of Muna’s Queer Pop.Dancing On The Wall (Deluxe Edition):01 It Gets So Hot02 Dancing On The Wall03 Eastside Girls04 Wannabeher05 On Call06 So What07 Party's Over08 Big Stick09 Mary Jane10 Girl's Girl11 ...Unless12 Why Do I Get A Good Feeling13 Buzzkiller14 Dancing On The Wall (Avalon Emerson Sweet Thing Remix)15 Dancing On The Wall (Romy In A Lesbian Trance Remix)16 So What (Arlo Parks Summer Was Ecstasy Version)17 Buzzkiller (Porches Nevada Remix)Hattie Lindert is an associate staff writer at Pitchfork.
