She said she was simply fed up with the heat and wanted to create a cosy festive atmosphere. Sign up for the Fabulous newsletter Thank you! Kelly first came up with the idea of putting her tree up early in 2024, although she decorated it with an autumn theme to make it seem less Christmassy. But this year she decided to go all out for her favourite time of the year. The full-time carer says she starts her Christmas shopping in January, puts away £20 every month towards festive decorations and has already started planning her Christmas recipes. She said: “I’m massively Christmas-obsessed. I listen to Christmas music all year round and I watch Christmas films all year round. “I like Home Alone, the Polar Express, all the love stories that are really cute. I love it, I can’t wait. I’m already looking at what recipes I might be doing.” Most read in Fabulous The mum normally goes even bigger at the end of October, when she brings out her entire Christmas collection. Every room in the house gets decorated with ornaments and lights, with the collection even including two six-foot-tall nutcrackers. Kelly says it takes weeks to transform the entire house and admits she would happily leave the tree up permanently. She added that Christmas is particularly special because it brings her family together, especially with her older children having moved out. Kelly said: “I swore that when I had children, I would always do something big at Christmas, it would be my thing.” Her video of the festive transformation has racked up more than 85,000 views online, with viewers left impressed by the elaborate display. One person wrote: “Can I commission you to come decorate my house, I wish mine looked like that.” Another said: “In loooove! I wish my house looked like this all year round.” Comment now
