MULTIPLE Love Is Blind UK’s couples lasted just TWO DAYS after their engagements, one of the series’ secret pairings have revealed. A staggering 14 out of 15 couples got engaged in the pods – a global record for the Netflix franchise – but that meant eight couples’ journeys did not make it to screens. They are wellbeing coach Sammy Harper and tech recruiter Jonathan Harrold, who chatted on this week’s Showbiz Fix, The Sun’s podcast and are happily still engaged to be married one year on. Sammy said: “We flew back to UK and you get your phone when you arrive and then you just have their number and it’s up to you whether you want to message them or not. The pair came in to Showbiz Fix to dish the dirt on unseen storylines Credit: Showbiz Fix They revealed some couples barely lasted two days after getting out of the pod Credit: Showbiz Fix “So we did a bit of our own reunion in Manchester with 18 people, and that’s where you can see everyone in person for the first time – that obviously isn’t featured. And that’s where you start to realize who is gonna last and who kind of, who isn’t really in that moment.” Jonathan said: “I’ll tell you what, the cameras, they missed the trick. It was honestly mental. “If the cameras were there that night, they could have got another 10 episodes just that night, I’m telling you.” Sammy went on: “Sadly none of the other eight are together. Yeah, I think they lasted maybe two days. Genuinely hours, yeah.” Most read in TV Jon said: “Like all the other seven couples were done. And it’s a shame, like, because amongst them, I saw some beautiful couples in there, but it’s like, it is such a whirlwind. And I can almost understand why a couple of people have gone like, this is too much, too overwhelming. Like we’re engaged, like, who are you? What is going on?” Sammy said: “But you also come out of this bubble after two weeks and then you just like planted back into reality and you’re like, all right, well now I’ve fallen in love with this voice, your body, like it’s like two people. And you’re like, have I just like imagined all of that? Am I crazy? And you genuinely feel mental. And you obviously don’t have like, you’re just like back in reality, back to work. You can’t tell anyone. Like you’ve just got this fiance that’s like, oh my God, like I can’t even speak about him. And you’re just like living this second life.” It was lasting love for Sammy and Jon though and they’re still going strong a year on. Sammy is happy to finally be able to talk about their love story – and wear her ring.
