MP inaugurates development works worth ₹2.37 crore in Visakhapatnam West constituency

Visakhapatnam MP M. Sribharat said that several development works have been undertaken across Visakhapatnam West constituency to strengthen basic infrastructure and improve community facilities.Mr. Sribharat, along with Government Whip and Visakhapatnam West MLA P.G.V.R. Naidu (Ganababu), inaugurated several development works worth ₹2.37 crore across different wards of the constituency on Tuesday. The works inaugurated include the renovated Anganwadi building at Siddharthanagar in Ward No. 57, where ₹8 lakh was allocated from the MPLADS funds. The works included the renovation and modernisation of the Anganwadi building, toilets and a staff room.Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Sribharat said the renovation was undertaken with the objective of providing children a better and more comfortable environment for learning and care. He said that MPLADS funds were being utilised based on local needs, giving priority to essential community infrastructure and facilities that directly benefit the people.Mr. Sribharat also inaugurated a new community building constructed at Double Tank area with ₹95 lakh from GVMC general funds in Krantinagar, a G+1 community building constructed at a cost of ₹48.60 lakh from GVMC funds near Maridimamba Kalyana Mandapam, a community building constructed at a cost of ₹43.60 lakh at Indiranagar, and the first floor of a community building constructed at a cost of ₹42 lakh from GVMC funds in Burma Colony.The MP said the development of basic infrastructure in every ward was being undertaken in accordance with the requirements of local residents. He emphasised the importance of making community halls and other public facilities readily accessible to people and said that development works benefiting residents would be taken forward through coordinated efforts between elected representatives and government officials.Meanwhile, MLA Ganababu said priority was being given to providing essential infrastructure and community facilities in every ward of the constituency, keeping public welfare at the centre of the development agenda.Local public representatives, GVMC officials, alliance leaders and workers, and a large number of residents participated in the programme.
