As thick smoke gave way to huge flames, seven people trapped inside scrambled to save themselves and jumped out of the burning SUV. The dramatic incident took place around 2 pm on Wednesday near the Nagina bypass on the Dehradun-Nainital National Highway in Dhampur. The seven passengers were travelling from Majheda village to Afzalgarh to attend a function when smoke suddenly began coming from the Scorpio. The driver, Nazim, immediately pulled over after sensing danger. But before they could fully assess the situation, the vehicle caught fire. The passengers opened the windows and managed to jump out, escaping just in time. The flames quickly engulfed the entire Scorpio, while people gathered on the highway and tried to help put out the fire.
