Motorola's new $1,600 smartphone holds nothing back, and it supports GrapheneOS

More recently, I've had more of a focus on Windows, and I've reviewed pretty much every mainstream laptop under the sun. If you see me somewhere, come say hello and let me ask you awkward questions about why you use the tech that you use. Sign in to your XDA account First announced at Qualcomm's Snapdragon Summit this year, Motorola is fully taking the wraps off of its Signature 27 smartphone, along with the Moto Watch Fit 27 and Moto Buds Ultra 27. Coming in at $1,600, a steep price for a phone that doesn't fold, Motorola seems to have went all out. The best camera and the best display Motorola says that this is the best camera it's put in a smartphone to date, something that's objectively true without even seeing the product up close. Devices like the Razr Fold were solid, but this one is beefy. To start, it has a 50MP Sony LYTIA L910 main sensor, and the full camera system gets the DXOMARK Gold Label award. To be clear, you probably should wait for hands-on testing before deciding how meaningful that is. DXOMARK isn't everything. There's a 50MP ultra-wide sensor and a 200MP 3x zoom periscope lens. Motorola is promising 100x Super Zoom, which of course, is powered by AI, and as with any AI-assisted camera systems, will produce some great results, and some that might be good for some laughs. The OLED display isn't just OLED. It's Extreme AMOLED. Very bright, very extreme. To deliver up to 12,000 nits peak brightness, it's using a 120Hz tandem OLED panel. The resolution is listed as 1.5k, and none of Motorola's materials confirm what that actually means. The full resolution will probably show up on the public spec sheet. This is all powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6, hence why it was initially announced at Snapdragon Summit. It's Qualcomm's most powerful smartphone chip yet, as you'd expect. The Motorola Signature 27 comes in at $1,599.99, and can be purchased unlocked from Motorola, Amazon, and Best Buy starting November 26. The Moto Watch Fit 27 and the Moto Buds Ultra 27 Credit: Source: Motorola The Moto Watch Fit 27 seems to be a bit more entry-level than the company's newest phone. It's a rectangular smartwatch that has Polar fitness and wellness insights. It can manage stress, track menstrual cycles, and more. It's also not running Wear OS, something that allows it to last for up to 12 days on a charge. And then there's the Moto Buds Ultra 27, which as the Ultra name implies, is the company's best earbuds. It has Bose QuietControl ANC, which will be fun to test out, given how good ANC has gotten on earbuds over the last few years. Neither the Watch Fit 27 nor the Buds Ultra 27 have any pricing or availability details, with Motorola promising to follow up in the coming months.
