Russia’s aviation authority Rosaviatsia imposed temporary restrictions on arrivals and departures at Vnukovo, Domodedovo and Zhukovsky airports as the attack unfolded. Operations were later partially restored, with Domodedovo announcing that restrictions had been lifted shortly after 6 a.m. Moscow time. Ukrinform reported that images and videos circulating on Russian social media showed drones flying over the Moscow region and smoke rising in some areas. The exact locations and causes of the reported smoke could not immediately be independently verified. There was no immediate confirmation from Ukraine regarding the attack.
