Mortal Shell 2 Revered Edition Listed For Up To 5x Its MSRP On eBay

Mortal Shell 2's Sold Out Revered Edition Fetching Ludicrous Amounts On Resale Sites Cold Symmetry Published Sep 1, 2026, 10:08 AM EDT Josh Coulson is an editor at TheGamer covering breaking news on everything from colorful platformers to the latest Lego sets. Sign in to your TheGamer account As the row over whether PlayStation is right to push forward with plans to discontinue disc production in 2028 rages on, another sign that more people than you might think still want a physical option has reared its head. The latest example takes the form of Mortal Shells 2’s Revered Edition, which, after selling out long before launch, is now fetching hundreds of dollars on resale sites. Mortal Shell 2's Revered Edition Is In High Demand, But It's Sold Out The Revered Edition of Mortal Shell 2 is slightly more expensive and exclusive to the PS5. Somewhat ironic considering what PlayStation has planned for its physical releases. The Revered Edition includes several physical extras you can’t get elsewhere, including a SteelBook with alternate cover art, a physical copy of Mortal Shell 2’s artbook, and art prints depicting scenes and characters from the game. Now that Mortal Shell 2 is here and has made a bigger splash than many expected, people have decided they want the Revered Edition. The trouble is, they’re far too late. They will now have to resort to buying the game through a resale site, and those looking to shift their Revered Editions have cottoned onto that and bumped up the asking price. Right now there are several Revered Edition listings on eBay asking for more than $300 for the game, so almost five times its $70 MSRP. It’s at this point in the article where I’d usually point out that even though that’s what sellers and scalpers are asking for, that’s almost certainly not what people are willing to pay. In this instance, that’s not the case. People Are Actually Paying These Prices Turns out people desperate to own this sold out edition of Mortal Shell 2 are willing to pay that much to make it happen. When delivery fees are factored in, the highest price someone has paid for a copy of the Revered Edition at the time of typing this is $344.61. Two days earlier, someone else sold a copy for $318.62. That’ll be why so many others are now trying their luck by listing their own copies for similarly high prices. It’s at this point in the article where I’d usually urge you to wait for a restock so that you can hopefully pick up a copy of the Revered Edition for the price Playstack intended. However, two months ago, a Playstack employee shared on the Mortal Shell subreddit that while there might be a potential restock eventually, they are unable to confirm that and the decision isn’t the publisher’s to make. I’d still recommend against paying more than $300 for a single game, but it’s looking less and less likely that there will ever be a Revered Edition restock. Released August 20, 2026 ESRB Mature 17+ / Blood and Gore, Intense Violence, Strong Language, Suggestive Themes Developer(s) Cold Symmetry Publisher(s) Playstack Genre(s) Soulslike, Action RPG, Fantasy
