A German woman travelling with her husband and two daughters told local newspaper Muenchner Tageszeitung: “We thought this was the end of us.” She said: “We thought this was the end of us.” The plane circled Munich for two hours, dumping fuel to reduce landing weight and carried out two low passes over the airport so that ground staff could visually inspect the landing gear.
