An explosion of debris, including one of the car’s tyres, is sent flying across the road on impact as the car that was hit was launched onto the pavement. The car behind, recording the crash, was also hit by the wreckage and forced to pull over. Meanwhile, the speeding car skids further down the road with another clip showing severe damage to the front and rear of the vehicle. Essex Police say they were called to the incident just before 1.30am on August 21. The force said a number of people, including drivers and passengers in the vehicles, were injured and received medical treatment. The extent of their injuries remains unclear. A spokesperson said: “Essex Police are investigating following a collision in Benfleet in the early hours of Friday morning (21 August). “Officers were called to the collision involving three vehicles in Hart Road at just before 1.30am. “A number of people, including drivers and passengers in the vehicles, were injured and received medical treatment. “Our enquiries are ongoing to understand the circumstances leading up to the collision and we want to hear from anyone who has information or footage which has yet to be shared with us.” Any witnesses or anyone with information is urged to get in touch with the police quoting incident 0091 of August 21.
