Moldova Accuses Russia of Deliberate Border Strike

The ministry said the crossings were used by civilians, including families, children, mothers, and elderly people traveling between Moldova and Ukraine.Moldova accused the Kremlin of attempting to justify civilian deaths through disinformation and condemned the attack.Russia struck the Ukrainian side of the Tudora-Starokozache crossing overnight from Tuesday into Wednesday, Sept. 8-9, along with two additional drones falling near the Starokozache checkpoint on Ukrainian territory.The attack damaged infrastructure on the Ukrainian side and forced authorities to suspend operations at the Moldovan-Ukrainian crossing.Two Ukrainian civilians were killed, and several other people were injured, including a Moldovan citizen.
