Ariel Winter is over the Los Angeles lifestyle. “I would prefer to not live in LA,” the “Modern Family” alum told Page Six while discussing Season 2 of “The Sisters Grimm.” “I don’t really love LA, but I have all of my people there, which I think is what makes it really tough to leave.” The Southern California native splits time between her stomping grounds and Nashville, Tennessee, after purchasing a home in nearby College Grove for $2.9 million in May 2022. Ariel Winter (seen above) wanted a “change of pace” when she moved to Nashville, Tennessee. Instagram/Ariel Winter Winter (seen above promoting “Sofia The First: Royal Magic”) said the lack of paparazzi in Nashville was a factor in her decision. Instagram/Ariel Winter “I grew up in LA and just really wanted a change of pace,” Winter, 28, said of the cross-country move. “LA is busy, and I was hoping to just get away a little and see what that change does for me. I wanted seasons and snow!” “I also wanted to get away from paparazzi, and just live a normal life and it gave me that!” the actress added. Although she enjoys a much quieter life in the South, being away from her loved ones has been difficult. “All my family, my friends, everyone’s [in LA]. I think that is what I love so much about LA – just that, not LA [itself].” The actress told Page Six that she still has plenty of loved ones in LA, which makes it hard to completely move on from the city. Thanks for signing up! “It’s just so peaceful and calm, and normal in a way that LA isn’t,” Winter said of Nashville. “I really would prefer to live there, probably. I don’t have my people there so much. I have some people, but my family’s not there, and that’s tough.” Despite now calling Nashville home, she hasn’t left her roots behind completely. When Winter returns to LA, she still keeps it in the family by sharing a space with her former television brother, Nolan Gould. “That is my brother,” Winter said of Gould, who starred alongside her for 11 seasons of “Modern Family” from 2009 to 2020. “Best friends since the beginning. We are family without a doubt. I love him so much. He’s the best, and living together is so fun. It’s just been the best experience ever.” Winter, shown above with her “Modern Family” co-star Nolan Gould, said living together is “so fun.” ABC via Getty Images Winter referred to Gould as her “brother.” They are shown above at the Fourth Annual Legacy Ball in Beverly Hills in 2024. But also, I just think I’ve been really lucky to have some really incredible animated projects put in front of me and some amazing characters that I think are really positively influential for young people, and so I’ve been really excited about that.” Community Guidelines Welcome to the Page Six Community!
